Return of NCAA video games? Twitter reacts to NCAA's vote to allow student-athlete benefits
The NCAA has voted to allow student-athletes to benefit off their name, image and likeness, and almost immediately, college football fans’ minds went to one thing — video games.
The popular NCAA Football video game franchise created by EA Sports hasn’t had a game released since 2013, due to student-athletes not being able to benefit from their likeness in the game. But Tuesday’s vote could be a step toward the games returning.
People on Twitter shared their thoughts on the vote, many of them also pushing for the video game series’ return. Here’s some of what they were saying:

This paves tbe way for NCAA football from @EASPORTS to come back. It will be a matter of working out the finances, which would likely be some kind of model that involves an overall fee to be split amongst all NCAA football players. https://t.co/SMBxtEFNvl

With likeness rights, it not only opens the door for NCAA Football to return. But also opens the door to use real-life Madden classes in Franchise mode.

In all seriousness, pretty remarkable how quickly the NCAA was able to put legislation together when their feet were put to the fire. Almost alarming to an extent.
