We bring you the best of sad fan shots from the weekend of college football. Be sure to tweet the best ones as they happen on Saturdays to @SDS.

You don’t have to travel far from Oxford, Miss. to Memphis, Tenn. It’s only about an hour and a half. But that short distance doesn’t prevent a long face, especially when you’re the No. 13 team in the nation and you get handled on the road against a non-conference opponent.

What’s amazing about this shot is the timing. This is right as Eddie Jackson’s 93-yard interception for a touchdown in the second quarter that put Alabama up 28-6 against Texas A&M. Jackson practically went the entire distance of the field while weaving his way through the entire Aggies offense. It’s a play that gave this fan an instant migraine.

Florida had the fans in Baton Rouge sweating until the end. This is immediately after Antonio Callaway’s 72-yard punt return for a touchdown tied the game at 28-28 near the end of the third quarter. The girl in the middle can’t bare to watch while the others can’t help but stare. Interesting how that works.

With seconds left, the Gators were in position for a prayer, while Tigers fans were already praying.

But in the end, Florida fans were left wondering what could have been. Cheer up, buddy. Death Valley may be known as “The Place Where Dreams Go to Die,” but everything is still in front of the Gators. In this moment though, just for a second, dreams did die.

And we couldn’t do a sad fans piece this week without this. No fans were sadder than the ones in “The Big House.” On fourth down with just 10 seconds left, Michigan punter Blake O’Neill fumbled a punt snap and Michigan State’s Jalen Watts-Jackson scooped it up and returned it 38 yards for the game-winning touchdown as time expired. This picture shows pain, shock, sadness and questions as to whether this is real life.
