One of Louisiana’s top prospects in the 2021 recruiting cycle has narrowed his options down to a few select schools.

Four-star defensive lineman Saivion Jones announced on Monday that SEC programs Florida, LSU, Mississippi State and Texas A&M have made his list, along with Baylor and Florida State outside of the SEC.

“After a lot of prayers with my mom and advice from my trust circle, I want to focus my recruitment on the following programs,” Jones posted on Twitter.

Jones is the younger brother of Mississippi State defensive back Shawn Preston Jr. and participates for St. James High School not only in football but in basketball and track and field, too.

The 6-foot-5, 240-pound lineman is rated as a four-star prospect, the No. 18 weakside defensive end in the nation and Louisiana’s No. 10 overall prospect in the 2021 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Jones registered 103 tackles, 13 sacks and two forced fumbles for St. James High School during his junior season.
