Round 3 wrapped up Day 2 of the 2022 NFL Draft. In the third round, 12 SEC players were selected, including Nakobe Dean.

Dean was a first-round projection. It was reported Friday that a “severe pec strain” led to Dean’s slide into the third round. The Philadelphia Eagles took the Georgia standout with the No. 83 overall pick. Dean will join Jordan Davis in the City of Brotherly Love.

The round opened with a selection out of Kentucky. The Jacksonville Jaguars took Wildcats lineman Luke Fortner at No. 65 overall.

In what has been an atypical quarterback draft, Ole Miss QB Matt Corral was taken No. 94 overall by the Carolina Panthers.

Washington might want to consider changing its team name from Commanders to Crimson Tide. The franchise took another Alabama player, Brian Robinson Jr.

The compensatory picks begin in the third round, extending it from 96 picks to 105.
