I’m pretty tied into the SEC or I wouldn’t be writing for this site.

But let’s be honest: I don’t even know the full roster of my favorite team — it’s not an SEC school so I can stay objective — much less every player on the rosters of all 14 SEC schools. But that’s what the Internet is for.

Thus I bring you the 2015 version of the SEC All-Name team. Some of these guys should be big contributors to their teams. Some just have cool names.

For my purposes, the All-Name team is running a pro-style offense and 4-3 defense. In case of “ties,” which is obviously subjective, I chose a player from a school that didn’t have a selection otherwise.

OFFENSE

QB: Greyson Lambert, Georgia

WR: Thaddeus Snodgrass, Kentucky
WR: Damore’ea Stringfellow, Ole Miss

RB: Nick Chubb, Georgia
RB: Boom Williams, Kentucky

TE: Dakota Ball, Alabama

OL: Kyler Kerbyson, Tennessee
OL: Tank Davis, Texas A&M
OL: Will Clapp, LSU
OL: Denver Kirkland, Arkansas
OL: Jordan Diamond, Auburn

Vols fans probably will be up in arms that I didn’t include receiver Pig Howard.

As for the quarterbacks, I like the name Greyson. Plus the Virginia transfer might be Georgia’s starting QB as he’s in a battle with Bryce Ramsey as of this writing. So Lambert got the call over Arkansas’ Rafe Peavey and Vandy’s Shawn Stankavage at QB.

Williams might be Kentucky’s best offensive player so he got the edge at running back over Auburn’s Lawyer Tillman, whose father of the same name was an All-SEC receiver at Auburn in the 1980s and played in the NFL for the Browns and Panthers. Chubb, a Heisman Trophy favorite, is clearly the best player on this list.

DEFENSE

DL: Prince Tega Wanogho Jr., Auburn
DL: CeCe Jefferson, Florida
DL: Farrington Huguenin, Kentucky
DL: Trevarris Saulsberry, Tennessee

LB: Cassanova McKinzy, Auburn
LB: Otaro Alaka, Texas A&M
LB: Beniquez Brown, Mississippi State

DB: Khari Blasingame, Vanderbilt
DB: Finis Stribling IV, Missouri
DB: Hootie Jones, Alabama
DB: Shattle Fenteng, Georgia

My favorite name on this entire list is probably Wangoho’s. He has only played football for one season after moving to the United States from Nigeria and likely will accept a redshirt season in 2015.

It pained me to leave off Alabama linebacker Gussie Busch. He was a scout team player in 2014. Busch is the great, great grandson of the founder of Anheuser-Busch.

Vandy’s Blasingame is a relation to U.S. gold medal sprinter Evelyn Ashford.

SPECIAL TEAMS

K: Gary Wunderlich, Ole Miss
P: Michael Almond, South Carolina

RS: Speedy Noil, Texas A&M

Noil’s name fits his speed. He was named to the Freshman All-SEC team at wide receiver and as a return specialist last season and is a preseason All-SEC pick as a return specialist this year.

Obviously I think of the NFL test for draft entrants when it comes to the Ole Miss kicker.
