Looking to have a good time while taking in a bowl game? Here are the SEC bowl destinations ranked based on party potential.

Party on, dudes.

TOP SHELF

Sugar Bowl, New Orleans – The Crescent City needs no introductions when it comes to partying and weeks before the beads go flying for Mardi Gras, the 12-month party that is New Orleans kicks off its year with the Sugar Bowl. From Bourbon Street to Harrah’s Casino, there’s plenty of opportunities for partiers, music lovers and foodies alike to get (more than) their fill.

Liberty Bowl, Memphis – Memphis for the Liberty Bowl is always fun. There’s a pile of the some of the best barbequed pork in the world, for starters. Memphis is the home of the Blues and you never know who is going to show up on stage on any given night. The music goes 365 days a year on Beale Street and beyond in Memphis. It’s also a city that knows its sports, making it an ideal locale for chowing on barbeque pig while watching some pigskin.

CALL BRANDS

Music City Bowl, Nashville – How can a place dubbed “Music City” be bad? Nashville is a musical mecca and where there’s music, a party is sure to follow. The city manages to capture its amazing history and southern charm while maintaining its youth. The party scene in Nashville extends far beyond the Honky Tonk of country music, offering just about anything you’re willing to dance to.

Cotton Bowl, Arlington, Texas  – They do things big in Texas and Dallas’ party scene ranks up there. The party scene is young in the Big D and with more than 20,000 bars in the city, it makes for one of the best New Year’s Eve locations in the nation.

Tampa, Outback Bowl – Ybor City is the place to be if you’re looking to party after the Outback Bowl. The city is also known for its cigar history, local breweries and (false) reputation as the … ahem … gentlemen’s club capital of the United States.

WELL BRANDS

Orlando, Citrus Bowl – It’s not all cartoon mice and princesses in Orlando as the downtown scene has a bit of everything for the partier who wants to slum it or go upscale. It’s impossible not to find somewhere to party in Orlando.

Texas Bowl, Houston – In a city of 2.2 million people, you’re going to find your share of partiers. Houston offers a large and diverse party scene that’s consistently evolving, especially in the city’s vibrant downtown.

THE REST

Birmingham, Charlotte and Jacksonville aren’t without their charm when it comes to partying. Jacksonville, after all, is home to the World’s Largest Cocktail Party.
