We’ve sent our own Ted Hyman back into the SDS Creative Lab to perform precision concept art on the SEC’s footwear this season. We’ll look at the league’s Nike schools this week and current Adidas and Under Armour styles later.

The SEC’s Nike schools include Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Missouri, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt.

The Nike Vapor Ultimate combines Flyknit and Flywire technology with innovative design to give players secure support, superior traction and explosive speed, even in adverse conditions. Using the swoosh’s top football cleat as our base, here are various creations based on team-specific colorways:

ALABAMA

Crimson accents and shockplate on a white base corresponds well with the Crimson Tide’s white pants and crimson jerseys on gamedays.

ARKANSAS, GEORGIA

In black or anthracite grey options, the Razorbacks’ look with a bright red sole provides a clean finish, perfect for linebackers to see when Arkansas’ ground game makes its way into the secondary. Georgia’s gameday concept would look similar with a brighter red.

FLORIDA

One of three gameday options, this orange alternate colorway features gradient amphibian scales at the midsole with a green outline surrounding the medial swoosh.

Another alternate, Gator Blue, could worn during night games in The Swamp when Florida dons its blue jersey, blue pants combination.

KENTUCKY

A mock that matches nicely with the Wildcats’ alternate black uniforms with chrome helmets, this Bluegrass-inspired cleat features the program’s patented checkerboard design on the toe.

LSU

Tiger stripes on a cleat? You bet. It’s time Nike incorporated LSU’s stripes on its footwear. We’ve shown you the road rendition in the header, but this one’s a purple home alternate.

MIZZOU

Another Tiger-striped cleat, Mizzou’s primarily black footwear with gold accents is the ideal match for the Tigers’ alternate home combinations.

OLE MISS

We can’t get enough of the Rebels’ throwback powder blue, a color not often seen on a cleat.

VANDERBILT

Let’s call these the Gold Toes. Vanderbilt’s alternate concept cleats feature a gold sheen that begins at the forefoot and fades into black near the ankle.
