Hot seat talks are about to crank back up heading into the season.

One website, Coaches Hot Seat, ranks the hottest seats heading into the 2015 season. The site takes into account compensation and win-loss percentage, among other stats, to derive its rankings.

Can you guess which SEC coach sits on the site’s hottest seat?

Derek Mason? Nope.

Nick Saban.

Saban is the highest ranked coach on the hot seat rankings, according to the site. You can view the full rankings here. Also listed on the hot seat were Kentucky’s Mark Stoops, Vanderbilt’s Derek Mason, Texas A&M’s Kevin Sumlin, LSU’s Les Miles and Arkansas’ Bret Bielema.

We all know Saban isn’t sitting on anything close to a hot seat, but since salary is taken into account, he is near the top. He’s making a cool $7.3 million. He basically has to win every game to not be featured on the rankings, I presume. Likewise, a coach near the bottom of the list could be the next one fired, but because his salary isn’t as high as the others, that portion of the metric ranks him lower.

Here’s where the SEC coaches are ranked, according to CoachesHotSeat.com:

15. Nick Saban, Alabama
16. Mark Stoops, Kentucky
22. Derek Mason, Vanderbilt
24. Kevin Sumlin, Texas A&M
26. Les Miles, LSU
31. Bret Bielema, Arkansas

Steve Spurrier was the only SEC coach listed on the site’s “Edge of the Hot Seat”. The rest of the coaches were ranked in the “Safe For Now” section.
