Just in case you haven’t seen enough post-spring power rankings, Athlon Sports published its college football Preseason Top 25 rankings on Monday and six teams from the SEC make the cut.

Four make an appearance in the top 10 alone.

Reigning national champion Alabama starts things off by claiming the No. 1 overall spot after finishing 14-1 (7-1) during the 2015-16 season, staying on top of No. 4 Clemson — the opponent in which it beat, 45-40, in the CFB playoff title game.

“The Crimson Tide suffered key losses on both sides of the ball, but this team reloads as well as any in the nation,” the rankings read. “Expect Nick Saban’s team to lean on its defense and ground attack until the offense finds stability at quarterback.”

Even with uncertainty at arguably the most vital position, the Tide are still the team to beat. That’s respect.
