The Southeastern Conference has already set the record for most selections from a single conference in the first round of an NFL Draft with 15 players being taken to start the 2020 draft but it appears there’s an outstanding chance the league sets a new mark for the most selections taken in the first two rounds of any draft on Friday night.

The league is only eight selections away from setting a new record and with 32 selections upcoming on Friday’s second round, there’s a good bet a new mark of 23 total selections in the first two rounds.

Here are a few of the SEC veterans ranked as the best available players in the 2020 NFL Draft heading into the second round by NFL Media’s Daniel Jeremiah: D’Andre Swift, Xavier McKinney, Marlon Davidson, Grant Delpit, Kristian Fulton, Justin Madubuike, Trevon Diggs, Lloyd Cushenberry, Willie Gay Jr, Saahdiq Charles, Jordan Elliott, Van Jefferson, Jake Fromm, Lynn Bowden Jr., Darrell Taylor and Bryan Edwards.

If half of those players are selected in the second round, the SEC will have a new record of 23 total selections in the first two rounds of a draft.

Of course, the SEC already holds the record, which it broke last season with 22 total selections during the draft’s first two rounds in the 2019 NFL Draft.
