SEC makes history in post-regular season College Football Playoff poll
The SEC has dominated the College Football Playoff rankings this year, and both Alabama and Georgia are currently in the top four.
However, the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs are far from the only strong teams in the conference. In fact, LSU and Florida joined them in the top 10.
With Mississippi State, Kentucky, Texas A&M and Missouri also in the top 25, the SEC has set a record with eight teams in the rankings at once:
With Missouri’s entry into the CFP Top 25, the SEC becomes the first conference to ever place eight teams in the CFP Poll. Finished the regular season with four teams in the Top 10.

That, obviously, is an incredible feat, and Missouri’s addition to the party comes via a strong four-game winning streak to end the regular season.
It’s a good time to be in the SEC, and this means there will be several SEC squads in elite bowl games next month.
