The rewards and praise for Saturday’s epic victory over Florida keep flowing in for Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker, who was named SEC Football Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

On the other side of the ball, Alabama star linebacker Will Anderson Jr. and Texas A&M defensive back Antonio Johnson shared the top honor by being named Co-Defensive Players of the Week.

The senior Hooker was 22-of-28 passing for 349 yards, 2 touchdown tosses and 0 interceptions in the Volunteers’ 38-33 victory over Florida in Knoxville. He also was a menace with his legs, with 13 carries for 112 yards and 1 TD. Hooker finished with an eye-popping 206.8 passer rating.

Anderson was all over the Vanderbilt backfield in the 55-3 blowout of the Commodores. He registered 2.5 sacks to move into 2nd place on the Crimson Tide’s all-time list behind only Derrick Thomas. Anderson also had 5 tackles, including 3 solo tackles.

Johnson had a jaw-dropping 13 tackles, 5 solo, in the Aggies’ dramatic 23-21 victory over Arkansas at Jerry’s World.

Meanwhile, Georgia kicker Jack Podlesny was named Special Teams Player of the Week. The senior went 3-for-3 on his field-goal attempts and made all 4 of his extra-point attempts in the No. 1 Bulldogs’ 39-22 win over Kent State.

Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins and Kentucky wide receiver Barion Brown were named Co-Freshman Players of the Week. Judkins had 27 carries for 140 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Rebels’ 35-27 win over Tulsa. Brown had 4 catches for 102 yards and 2 TDs in the Wildcats’ 31-23 win over Northern Illinois.

Junior Javontez Spraggins was named Offensive Lineman of the Week for helping the Vols pile up 576 total yards in the win over Florida. And Auburn senior linebacker Derick Hall was named Defensive Lineman of the Week, as he had 6 tackles, 5 solo, and 2 sacks in the Tigers’ 17-14 overtime win over Missouri.
