Any week of the college football season when you have to take on an SEC team at their venue, you’re in for a fight.

The home-field advantage some of these teams enjoy is enough to change the outcome of a game, and you best believe that teams know every season whether they have to make the trip to Tuscaloosa or Athens.

On Tuesday, SEC analyst Cole Cubelic released his top five toughest SEC road games on Twitter.

At No. 5 on his list, the SEC East favorite Georgia travels to take on a South Carolina team who only lost by 14 on the road last season. Quarterback Jake Bentley had a big game with 227 yards and touchdown, but his two interceptions were costly down the stretch for the Gamecocks. With Georgia playing in Columbia this season, you can definitely mark this as a trap game for the Bulldogs.

At No. 4 on the list, he has Texas A&M and Auburn. Auburn won 42-27 last season and ended up winning the SEC West. Quarterback Jarrett Stidham went off, going 20-of-27 for 268 yards and three touchdowns while the Aggies struggled to create explosive plays. With the series shifting back to Auburn, Jimbo Fisher and the Aggies will need everything to go right if they want to upset the Tigers.

Coming in at No. 3 on Cubelic’s list, the Alabama Crimson Tide travel to Baton Rouge to take on Coach Ed Orgeron and the LSU Tigers. Alabama won the bout 24-10 last season, and their defense didn’t allow a touchdown until the third quarter. With Alabama now on the road, this is definitely a must-watch game.

At No. 2, Cubelic has Auburn and Alabama, which could decide the SEC West champion once again. Alabama gets the home-field advantage this year though, and you know they will be looking to avenge last season’s loss.

Rounding up the list at No. 1, Cubelic has two coaches who are in their first year at their new schools, Florida and Mississippi State. This is each team’s first SEC game, and the Bulldogs have the more experienced roster overall. Coach Dan Mullen has to make sure he makes the right choice at quarterback, because early in the season, he could be exposed in Starkville.
