During the final week of regular season play, committing more penalties than your opponent was a recipe for defeat. Georgia was the only team who was able to win despite having more penalties than their opponent, which in their case  was Georgia Tech. Every other more-penalized team lost.

For the second week in a row, Arkansas only suffered one penalty and it helped in winning 28-3 over Missouri on Friday. With their consistently low penalty numbers, the Razorbacks finish out the regular season ranked No. 2 in fewest penalties.

Mississippi State takes the title of least penalized in the SEC, despite absorbing quite a few on Saturday. The six penalties called on the Bulldogs was double the amount incurred by the Rebels, who won 38-27.

LSU pulled ahead as the most penalized team in the conference last week, and that did not change. The Tigers managed to get the 19-7 win over the Aggies while still committing eight penalties. Texas A&M didn’t do themselves any favors by being the only team to break into double digit penalties this week, racking up 11 against LSU.
