Alabama keeps winning, and the rest of the conference just keeps beating each other up.

The SEC West race is over, and the SEC East race is still up for grabs between Tennessee and Florida. Let’s look at our updated power rankings going into Week 12.

14. Vanderbilt

Last week: 13

Skinny: With Vandy going down to Missouri, we’re swapping their spots.

13. Missouri

Last week: 14

Skinny: Missouri’s first SEC win over Vanderbilt gives them a bump up to No. 13 this week.

12. Kentucky

Last week: 12

Skinny: Overall, Kentucky is still having a nice season, but it couldn’t pull off the victory against the Vols. The Wildcats can become bowl eligible Saturday by beating Austin Peay.

11. Mississippi State

Last week: 10

Skinny: Mississippi State did nothing against Alabama. You can’t crush ’em too much, as everybody looks really bad against the Tide.

10. South Carolina

Last week: 9

Skinny: Jake Bentley’s mo-mo slowed down a bit as he squared off against an elite defense. South Carolina’ three-game win streak came to a halt as Will Muschamp traveled back to The Swamp.

9. Tennessee

Last week: 11

Skinny: With the win over Kentucky, the Vols stay alive in the SEC East race and also jump up two spots in our rankings. Their path to Atlanta is simple: Win their remaining two and Florida must lose Saturday at LSU.

8. Arkansas

Last week: 5

Skinny: Arkansas can’t seem to find any consistency. After looking great against Florida, the Hogs put in an ugly performance against LSU.

7. Texas A&M

Last week: 4

Skinny: The Aggies are in a bit of a free-fall right now after consecutive losses to the Mississippi schools. Ole Miss beat the Aggies with a freshman quarterback on Kyle Field. Ouch.

6. Georgia

Last week: 9

Skinny: Georgia’s defense dominated Auburn, getting Kirby Smart a very nice win as his first-year Dawgs come down the home stretch of the 2016 season.

5. Florida

Last week: 7

Skinny: The Gators beat a South Carolina team that really isn’t a great team. They did what they were supposed to do. The defense looked excellent, and the offense looked decent behind Austin Appleby.

4. Ole Miss

Last week: 4

Skinny: Hey, hey. How about Shea Patterson? Regardless of the win-loss record for the Rebels at the end of the season, the fans are going to be super excited about the young quarterback. Exactly why you burn his redshirt.

3. Auburn

Last week: 2

Skinny: Auburn looked like garbage against Georgia, but we’re going to attempt to not overreact here, and keep the Tigers at the 3 spot. Is Kamryn Pettway really that much of a difference-maker? Is there really that much of a difference between the teams 2-8?

2. LSU

Last week: 3

Skinny: Another nice win for Ed Orgeron’s Tigers against Arkansas this week. The team is playing very nice, and if you haven’t noticed, they played Alabama about as well as anybody.

1. Alabama

Last week: 1

Skinny: We’re running out of ways to describe this team, but all I can say is that I’m super excited about the true freshman quarterbacks in the conference right now. You’ve got to put Jalen Hurts at the front of the pack. How’d he do Saturday? Oh, he just became the first Alabama quarterback to throw for 300 and run for 100 in the same game. Carry on, Jalen.
