The SEC isn’t always known for its strong quarterback play.

In 2015, running backs dominated the conference. Derrick Henry, Leonard Fournette and Alex Collins received national acclaim.

But there were some impressive quarterback performances as well.

Let’s take a look at SEC quarterbacks that reached the 300-yard passing club and how many times they did it.

Chad Kelly: It may not be a surprise that Kelly has the most games with more than 300 yards. Hugh Freeze runs an offense based on the passing game, and Kelly took advantage with eight games with at least 300 yards, including a victory at Alabama.

Dak Prescott: He had a breakout year in 2015 and left a mark at Mississippi State. He had seven games with more than 300 yards, including a stellar 508-yard performance at Arkansas.

Brandon Allen: Allen finished the year with the best QBR in the country. He had five games with more than 300 yards and three with more than 400. Two of the performances came against Ole Miss and Mississippi State.

Kyle Allen: While he struggled at times, Allen put together a few impressive games. He threw for more than 300 yards against Arkansas, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt.

Patrick Towles: Towles had 329 yards against Eastern Kentucky and 359 yards the next week against Auburn. But he was replaced by Drew Barker late in the season and transferred.

Jake Coker: Coker saved his best for last. Although he only had one 300-yard passing game, it came in the national championship victory over Clemson when he went for 335 yards in the win.

Joshua Dobbs: Dobbs had one 300-yard game in 2015. But it helped rally the Volunteers to victory over Georgia.

Greyson Lambert: Lambert shined at times. Especially in the beginning of the season. He completed 24 of 25 throws for 330 yards against South Carolina in September.

Johnny McCrary: The Vanderbilt quarterback threw for more than 300 yards against Austin Peay.

Brandon Harris: Harris was inconsistent throughout the season and it remains unclear if he will be the Tigers QB moving forward. He had one game with more than 300 yards against Ole Miss.

Jake Hubenak: Texas A&M got a good performance from the redshirt sophomore in the Aggies’ Music City Bowl loss to Louisville as he went for 307 yards with 2 TDs and an interception.

Perry Orth: Orth went for 367 passing yards in the team’s stunning upset loss to The Citadel back on Nov. 21.
