Continuing our late-season daily series looking at the recruiting circuit in the SEC, we analyze the conference’s top running back commits for the 2015 recruiting class.

After hauling in the nation’s top prospect at the position in Leonard Fournette last season, it appears Les Miles and the LSU Tigers are pulling from their own backyard again for a pair of top-flight four stars.

Daily Recruiting Series

Using each player’s 247Sports Composite rating, here’s how the SEC’s top running back commits stack up and where they stand nationally against other standouts at the same position:

1. LSU: Derrius Guice, 5-11, 219, Baton Rouge, La., RB, Four-Star (4): An ideal short-yardage option who could play early as a true freshman wherever he ends up, Guice is a tank at just under six feet and 220 pounds. Guice is considered a soft LSU commit after opening his recruitment two weeks ago on Twitter after a lengthy conversation with Tigers running backs coach Frank Wilson according to NOLA.com.

2. ALABAMA: Desherrius Flowers, 6-1, 212, Mobile, Ala., RB, Four-Star (11)

3. OLE MISS: Eric Swinney, 5-10, 188, Tyrone, Ga., RB, Four-Star (12): Nearing the end of his third consecutive 1,000-yard season, Swinney leads one of Georgia’s top Region 5-AAAA teams at Sandy Creek, a program that had a 44-game winning streak snapped on Oct. 24.

4. LSU: Nick Brossette, 6-0, 207, Baton Rouge, La., RB, Four-Star (15): LSU offensive coordinator Cam Cameron is expected to land another gem in Brossette, the lighting to Guice’s thunder. He’s eclipsed 2,000 yards twice in his prep career and starred at Nike’s ‘The Opening’ earlier this year.

5. TEXAS A&M: Jay Bradford, 5-11, 191, Splendora, Texas, RB, Four-Star (20)

6. AUBURN: D’Anfernee McGriff, 6-1, 230, Tallahassee, Fla., RB, Four-Star (21): Tabbed as an athlete/running back hybrid, McGriff chose Auburn over finalists Florida and Florida State in April. One of this list’s fastest players with a 4.34 40, McGriff’s a burner and the perfect fit in Gus Malzahn’s offense.

7. MIZZOU: Natereace Strong, 6-1, 210, East Saint Louis, Ill., RB, Four-Star (22)

8. MISSISSIPPI ST.: Nick Gibson, 5-11, 197, Pinson, Ala., RB, Four-Star (25): The Bulldogs plucked this playmaking bulldozer from Alabama right underneath the nose of Crimson Tide assistants Mario Cristobal and Burton Burns.

9. KENTUCKY: Andrew Dowell, 6-1, 211, Lakewood, Ohio, RB, Four-Star (26)

10. SOUTH CAROLINA: A.J. Turner, 5-11, 180, Clifton, Va., RB, Three-Star (28)
