Without much college football news or storylines to discuss, the comedy crew known as “SEC Shorts” found a great way to come up with some content for their latest video — how would they have covered the 1998 college football season?

As any Tennessee fan could tell you, the Volunteers won the league and national title back in 1998 with Mississippi State winning the West.

Florida finished 10-2, Arkansas and Georgia both went 9-3, Alabama, Kentucky and Ole Miss all finished the season with 7-5 records, while LSU went 4-7, Auburn went 3-8, Vanderbilt went 2-9 and South Carolina was 1-10.

It was a different era, to be sure, and here’s how “SEC Shorts” would have covered the league back then.
