Senior Bowl announces 4 more SEC players have accepted invites
Four departing SEC players hoping to make it in the NFL have officially signed on to play in the Senior Bowl.
The all-star game’s executive director, Jim Nagy, announced on Twitter Saturday that Auburn QB Jarrett Stidham, Missouri QB Drew Lock, Missouri WR Emanuel Hall and South Carolina WR Deebo Samuel have officially accepted their invites to play in Mobile, Ala.
Check out Nagy’s announcement tweets, which feature a scouting report, on all four:
Congrats, @DrewLock23! Had fun watching Lock at Manning Camp. Undeniable arm talent. The “he can spin it” phrase is getting a little tired at this point but that’s what you’ll be hearing about Lock thru the pre-draft process. Some NFL team will draft him to be their starter. pic.twitter.com/ceVkltsW8S

Congrats, @Jarrett_Stidham! Good scouts always evaluate the environment around a player, especially at QB position. Stidham (and @AuburnFootball ) didn’t have the season many expected but he still made plenty elite starter-level throws. He could be the talk of @seniorbowl week. pic.twitter.com/d6T2xr6D2j

Congrats, @emanuelhall! Drew Lock has a big arm but it’s hard to overthrow this guy. When healthy, this dude can fly. Unfortunately, he was nicked most of ‘18 and NFL teams can’t wait to see him fully healthy in Mobile. He’s the vertical field-stretcher in this year’s WR group. pic.twitter.com/rxwgAdb29s

Congrats, @Uno_Captain! Deebo looked like he was still working himself into form from last year’s season-ending injury when we saw him in early October but he has looked all the way back these past few weeks. This is a strong and potentially dynamic playmaker at WR and KOR. pic.twitter.com/k1wAKeVZfQ

The four join previous other recent acceptees including Kentucky LB Josh Allen, South Carolina OL Dennis Daley, Auburn DL Dontavius Russell and Mississippi State OL Elgton Jenkins Jr.
