A fair number of SEC players was featured in CBS Sports’ latest 2018 NFL Mock Draft.

That shouldn’t come as a surprise considering the conference for years had led the way in college football in terms of exporting talent to the pros.

It’s tough to even think about college football season not being around right now, but indeed, April will be here before we know it.

Here is a list of six SEC players who made the cut as potential first-round picks in this latest mock draft’s round of 32:

  • No. 3 — Roquan Smith, LB, Georgia (New York Giants)
  • No. 8 — Minkah Fitzpatrick, CB, Alabama (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
  • No. 15 — Taven Bryan, DE, Florida (Tennessee Titans)
  • No. 22 — Arden Key, DE, LSU (Buffalo Bills)
  • No. 23 — Lorenzo Carter, DE, Georgia (New Orleans Saints)
  • No. 25 — Christian Kirk, WR, Texas A&M (Green Bay Packers)

Noticeably, Georgia has two players who are currently projected as first-round picks, while Alabama, Florida, LSU and Texas A&M each have one.

These mock drafts will certainly see a lot of shake-ups between now and April, and there’s a good chance we’ll see quite a few more SEC names.
