Every year, top teams around college football lose games they shouldn’t, falling into traps on their schedules.

It’s tough to predict those games, but Sporting News analyst Bill Bender gave it a shot this week. He predicted the biggest trap game for each of the top-25 teams.

The SEC has seven teams in the top-25 rankings, so here are each of their biggest trap games for the 2019 season:

  • No. 1 Alabama — Sept. 14 at South Carolina
  • No. 3 Georgia — Nov. 9 vs. Missouri
  • No. 7 LSU — Oct. 5 vs. Utah State
  • No. 8 Florida — Nov. 9 vs. Vanderbilt
  • No. 11 Texas A&M — Sept. 28 vs. Arkansas
  • No. 15 Mississippi State — Nov. 2 at Arkansas
  • No. 16 Auburn — Sept. 28 vs. Mississippi State

Who will be able to navigate these games and who will get tripped up? We’ll find out soon, as the college football season starts next month!
