Sports Illustrated has updated their bowl projections for conference teams.

After an impressive opening weekend that saw the SEC go 12-2 overall (3-0 against the ACC), Alabama is still projected to make the College Football Playoff, and LSU and Auburn are projected to make New Year’s Six bowls.

Interestingly, Oklahoma slides into the playoff picture for most everyone following the injury to FSU QB Deondre Fracois. The Crimson Tide and the Sooners would make for a great playoff semifinal.

The SEC West further flexes its muscles with Auburn and LSU also pitted to play in New Year’s Six bowls. That’s further proven by Mississippi State being projected in the Outback Bowl ahead of Florida, Tennessee and South Carolina.

Although SI.com didn’t have the Gators projected in any bowl, they had Texas A&M listed twice: Texas Bowl (much more likely) and the Independence Bowl, with Florida more likely. Let’s make this Texas Bowl happen between the Aggies and Longhorns.

The media outlet has Missouri still projected to miss a bowl game.

Here are the updated bowl projections after Week 1:
