Steve Spurrier Jr. served as his famous father’s assistant from 2005 to 2015 at South Carolina, but since then, he’s set out on his own.

In 2016, he was an assistant for Oklahoma, and in 2017, he served as the assistant head coach and quarterbacks coach for Western Kentucky. Now, though, he’s heading west to take another step in his career.

According to BGDailyNews.com, Spurrier is heading to the Pac-12, where he’ll become part of Mike Leach’s Washington State staff.

What role he’ll take on Leach’s staff wasn’t made clear, but it’s a step up into the Power 5.

It’ll be interesting to see where Spurrier’s career heads from here, but it’s safe to say the Head Ball Coach will be watching closely.
