We’ve reached flipping season in the latter stages of the recruiting cycle and several programs in the SEC East will try and do their part over the final two weekends of official visits. Notable uncommitted five-stars eyeing programs in the East include Martez Ivey, CeCe Jefferson and Terry Beckner Jr. just to name a few.

Remaining targets SEC East

Florida — CeCe Jefferson. Martez Ivey. Byron Cowart. Coach Jim McElwain has his hands full over the next few weeks trying to lure these three Florida-based five-stars to his new regime in Gainesville. Auburn’s expected to be in the mix as well.

Georgia — The Bulldogs are in a battle with LSU for five-star Donte Jackson (New Orleans) who visited Athens for an official this weekend. Jackson’s heading to Baton Rouge on Friday to meet with the Tigers before making his decision on signing day. Georgia’s new OC, Brian Schottenheimer, is the new point man for Jackson.

Kentucky — With five-star tailback Damien Harris out of the picture, the Wildcats have shifted their focus to four-star athlete Marcus Lewis out of Washington, D.C. Kentucky has a shot for the multi-position playmaker along with Washington State and Miami.

Missouri — All signs are pointing to the Tigers as the frontrunner heading down the stretch for five-star defensive tackle Terry Beckner Jr., but several others are in the mix. He’ll be an instant factor up front for Gary Pinkel next season on a unit that will be without Shane Ray and Markus Golden as its lead pass rushers.

South Carolina — Defensive end Arden Key, one of several touted four-star decommits the Gamecocks are still going after, doesn’t have a favorite at the moment and has spoken highly of defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward. South Carolina’s staff still believes Key will be a cornerstone signee in February.

Tennessee — Bryce Love, Ryan Newsome and Patrick Allen are all four-star prospects the Vols think they can get their hands on despite this year’s class — ranked in the Top 5 — nearing full capacity.

Vanderbilt — If the Commodores can get four-star cornerback Frank Buncom IV out of California, he would be Vanderbilt’s third four-star defender of this year’s class, a great starting point for newly self-appointed coordinator Derek Mason.
