Tennessee’s basketball program has held on to its No. 1 ranking in the latest Associated Press poll following another undefeated week but things are set to get significantly tougher for the Volunteers this week.

The AP released its latest poll on Monday and Rick Barnes’ squad received 40 of 64 first-place votes. Duke sits at No. 2 in the poll coming off a huge win at Virginia by a 10-point margin. The Blue Devils went on the road and beat Virginia 81-71 over the weekend.

No. 3 Gonzaga, No. 4 Virginia and No. 5 Kentucky round out the top 5. The Wildcats survived a scare over the weekend, surviving against Mississippi State in Starkville 71-67.

No. 1 Tennessee is perfect in the SEC with a 10-0 league mark and will defend its unbeaten SEC record against South Carolina on Wednesday before traveling to Kentucky Saturday night. The Wildcats currently sit at 9-1 in SEC play and play No. LSU before hosting the top-ranked team in the nation.

Here are the three SEC teams ranked in the latest AP poll:

#1 Tennessee, 22-1 record

#5 Kentucky, 20-3 record

#19 LSU, 19-4 record (up 2 spots)
