With Tony Romo out for an extended period after breaking his collarbone during Sunday’s win at Philadelphia, the Dallas Cowboys need to address depth issues at quarterback.

Texas governor Greg Abbott has a simple solution — sign free agent Tim Tebow:

Tebow recently rejoined the SEC Nation cast at SEC Network after being cut by the Eagles prior to the season opener. Philadelphia coach Chip Kelly said the former Florida great “wasn’t good enough” to earn a roster spot as his team’s third quarterback.

The Eagles are 0-2 this season.

Brandon Weeden is the Cowboys’ QB1 during Romo’s absence. The Cowboys are expected to sign another quarterback this week.

“The NFL is really about adversity in general,” Romo said after Sunday’s win. “It’s how you handle it, how you approach it on a day-to-day basis, individually and collectively. The job for our football team is to find ways to win. I think we have guys in there that can do that.”

Why not Tebow?

Make it happen, Jerry.
