The nation's most-watched Week 4 game featured two SEC teams
The 3:30 p.m. ET game featuring the SEC on CBS is a marquee time not only for college football fans looking for the best matchups, but also TV executives looking for high ratings.
Texas A&M and Alabama delivered in that slot on Saturday with a 3.5 overnight rating on CBS, which was the highest-rated college football game of the day.
There’s no question fans across the country tuned in either to see if the Aggies could pull the upset on No. 1 Alabama, or how dominant the Crimson Tide are this season. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa delivered another banner performance with 387 passing yards and four touchdowns, while A&M quarterback Kellen Mond had plenty of solid rushes against the Tide defense for 98 rushing yards and a TD.
Earlier in the day, Georgia’s win over Missouri in the noon time slot on ESPN delivered the third-best rating of the day behind the ABC prime time game of Stanford edging Oregon.
