The White House lists Mississippi among the Big Ten states excited to have football back
A verbal slip-up from White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany provided College Football Twitter some amusement on Wednesday.
McEnany was relaying President Donald Trump’s approval of the Big Ten’s plan for a fall season when she started listing off the states in the conference footprint, mistakenly including Mississippi (in place of Michigan).
McEnany may have said Mississippi out of excitement for the beginning of the Mike Leach era in Starkville. She is the daughter of former Mississippi State defensive lineman Mike McEnany and grew up a Bulldogs fan despite her mom’s Florida Gators fandom.
