There is no better time than during the season for SEC schools to showcase their programs to potential recruits.

Let’s take a look at the top recruits that have committed to SEC squads since the start of the 2015 season:

1. Michael Divinity, OLB, John Ehret H.S./Marrero, La. (Committed to LSU on Oct. 11.) 247 Sports has Divinity ranked as the No. 5 linebacker in the country. At 6-foot-2, 218 pounds, Divinity likely hasn’t reached his size potential. According to NOLA.com, he racked up 74 tackles, eight sacks and five forced fumbles.

2. Marlon Davidson, DE, Greenville H.S./Greenville, Ala. (Committed to Auburn on Sept. 4.) Davidson was one of the most-sought-after defensive players in the country, but opted to stay close to home. At 6-4, 260 pounds, the Greenville High School product has all the necessary tools. As the No.2 defensive end in the country according to 247 Sports, Davidson has a chance to contribute immediately to a defense that could use some help.

3. Justin Madubuike, DE, McKinney North H.S./McKinney, Texas. (Committed to Texas A&M on Sept. 18.) 247 Sports lists Madubuike as the No. 7 defensive end in the country. In 2014, he tallied 75 tackles, 16.5 sacks and four forced fumbles.

4. Elijah Holyfield, RB, Woodward Academy/Atlanta, Ga. (Committed to Georgia on Sept. 4.) In July, Holyfield narrowed down his decision to Alabama, Auburn, South Carolina, Tennessee or Georgia. Clearly he wanted to play in the SEC and ultimately decided to stay in his home state. 247 Sports ranked Holyfield as the No. 5 running back prospect in the country.

5. Darius Whitfield, DE, St. Paul’s Episcopal/ Mobile, Ala. (Committed to South Carolina on Oct. 13.) Steve Spurrier might be gone, but USC still has a big-time commitment. 247 Sports ranks Whitfield as the No. 19 defensive end in the nation. Many thought he would land at Alabama, but the 6-3, 265-pounder decided to take his talents to Columbia instead.

6. Albert Okwuegbunam, TE, Sacred Heart Griffin H.S./Springfield, Ill. (Committed to Missouri on Sept 19.) Missouri hasn’t had a flashy start to the 2015 season, but that didn’t stop it from landing one of the nation’s top tight end prospects. 247 Sports ranks Okwuegbunam as the No. 36 tight end in the country. At 6-5, 223 pounds, he has the size to succeed at the next level.

7. Drelon Porter, DE, South Panola H.S./Batesville, Miss. (Committed to Mississippi State on Sept. 25.) Porter isn’t a flashy player. But don’t let that fool you. The 3-star recruit fielded offers from Alabama, Ole Miss and others before deciding on Mississippi State, according to 247 Sports.

8. Desmond Henderson, CB, Dodge City Community College/ Dodge, City, Kan. (Committed to Tennessee on Sept. 17.) According to 247 sports, the junior-college star jumped on Tennessee’s offer 24 hours after it was laid on the table. He has shined everywhere he has been and should make an immediate impact for the Vols.

9. Freddie Swain, WR, North Marion H.S./Citra, Fla. (Committed to Florida on Oct. 9.) The Gators hot start to the 2015 campaign has already paid dividends in recruiting. According to Rivals.com, Swain narrowed his selection to Tennessee, Southern Cal and Florida but decided on the Gators after attending their first four home games. As a quick, shifty threat on both offense and special teams, Swain is a great addition.

10. Zaire Jones, S, Meridian H.S./Meridian Miss. (Committed to Vanderbilt on Sept. 26.) As the No. 24 safety in the country according to 247 Sports, this is a great pickup for Vanderbilt. Jones is a big, physical safety who can stop the run and thrive in pass coverage.
