Torrance Gibson’s recruitment has been a roller coaster over the last year. Gibson had been looking at several SEC schools before his commitment to Ohio State on November 3.

Well, it seems as if Gibson’s recruitment is about to get more interesting. Despite his commitment to the Buckeyes and Urban Meyer, the dual-threat star will take official visits to Auburn and LSU before National Signing Day.

After all, how could you blame him?

Ohio State has a logjam at quarterback similar to Alabama has at running back. The Buckeyes return current starter Cardale Jones, as well as two Heisman contenders in Braxton Miller and TJ Barrett. Similarly, there’s been talk of Gibson playing wide receiver in college, but he’s dead set on being a signal caller at the next level.

Gibson will visit Auburn on January 16 and LSU on January 23, according to 247Sports. Gibson would fit very well in Auburn’s offense, and he could, perhaps, play immediately in LSU’s offense with the lack of a proven quarterback.

Could one of the country’s most elite athletes flip from OSU to an SEC school? Much drama will play out over the coming month.

Here’s a look at Gibson’s highlight film:
