Georgia’s Jacob Eason and Arkansas’ Austin Allen are among the Top 25 Breakout Quarterbacks for 2016, according to Athlon Sports. Eason ranked fifth while Allen was 13th, despite neither quarterback having past starting experience.

Allen was named Arkansas’ starting quarterback this offseason after spending his first two seasons sitting behind his older brother, Brandon, who completed his eligibility this past spring. The younger Allen has appeared in eight career games and threw for 188 yards, one touchdown and one interception on 9-of-19 passing.

Eason enrolled at Georgia in January after ranking as the second overall pro-style quarterback and fifth overall prospect for the 2016 national recruiting class.  However, the freshman is expected to sit behind Greyson Lambert during the Bulldogs’ season opener.
