UAB conducts first spring practice as part of football program's return
The UAB football program is officially back.
Well, maybe not officially until the Blazers play a game in 2017, but the start of 2016 spring practice was still a significant milestone for the program that was dismantled in 2014 and missed the 2015 season.
Though UAB will not play a game in the upcoming season, the Blazers still will receive the opportunity to conduct spring practice in preparation for their return against Alabama A&M on Sept. 2, 2017.
The Blazers took to historic Legion Field for its first official practice on Tuesday morning.
