The UCF Knights lost QB McKenzie Milton to a devastating knee injury in Week 13 this year, and his rehab may mean he’ll miss the 2019 season.

However, the Knights are prepared for that possibility, landing an intriguing big-name graduate transfer quarterback on Tuesday.

As you can see in the Instagram post below, former Notre Dame QB Brandon Wimbush will be heading to Orlando for the 2019 campaign:

Wimbush appeared in six games for the Irish in 2018, throwing for 719 yards, four touchdowns and six interceptions. He had his best year in 2017, throwing for 1,870 yards, 16 touchdowns and six picks. He also added 804 yards and eight touchdowns as a runner.

How he’ll fit into Josh Heupel’s offense remains to be seen, but he is an exciting addition to a talented squad.
