The UCF Knights are a perfect 9-0 this year, but are only No. 11 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings due to an atrocious strength of schedule.

However, if you look at a common opponent between the Knights and No. 3 Notre Dame, it seems to indicate that the Knights are a better team than many think. When Notre Dame played Pitt in South Bend, the Irish escaped with a narrow 19-14 victory. However, when UCF traveled to Pitt, the Knights routed the Panthers 45-14.

Therefore, star UCF QB McKenzie Milton says it’s clear that the Knights are a better team than the Irish (via Bleacher Report):

“You look at the [Pitt] film against us and Notre Dame,” says Milton. “You can’t tell me Notre Dame is a better team than us.”

He is asked: You don’t see a difference?

“Oh, I see a difference,” Milton says. “We’re better.”

UCF hosts a ranked Cincinnati team this weekend, and ESPN’s College GameDay will be there. It’ll be a chance for the Knights to make a statement to the rest of the country.

Milton is ready for his moment in the spotlight. Check out the full profile of Milton from Bleacher Report’s Matt Hayes here.
