Two SEC programs and a pair of Big 12 teams are battling to land Princely Umanmielen’s commitment. The uncommitted 4-star defensive end out of Manor, Texas will sign with one on Wednesday.

Umanmielen revealed Saturday night that he will be deciding between Texas, Florida, Baylor and Auburn on Wednesday and sign with one of those teams during a televised National Signing Day ceremony at 2:20 p.m. CT on Wednesday.

Umanmielen committed to Texas on Aug. 12, 2019, but the pledge did not last long. He decommitted from the Longhorns on Oct. 23, 2019. Umanmielen went through December’s Early Signing Period unsigned, continuing his recruitment into January. Last weekend, Umanmielen took an official visit to Florida. He made the trip to visit UT on Thursday, with 247Sports reporting he would likely either visit Baylor or Auburn for the rest of the weekend. Saturday night’s tweet shows it was sent from Waco, Texas.

Umanmielen is listed at 6-4, 249 pounds and rated 4-stars, the No. 9 strong-side defensive end, No. 38 Texas product and No. 241 prospect overall nationally. He picked up 28 scholarship offers during his recruitment.
