Last year, the SEC got eight teams into the NCAA Tournament, and this year has been another good year for the league’s top teams.

In ESPN bracketology expert Joe Lunardi’s latest projections, he has seven SEC squads making the field of 68, with one team just on the outside looking in.

As you can see below, he has Tennessee as a No. 1 seed, followed by Kentucky as a No. 2 seed. Here’s where the other teams mentioned are currently projected to slot into the tournament:

  • Tennessee — No. 1 seed (Midwest)
  • Kentucky — No. 2 seed (East)
  • Auburn — No. 5 seed (South)
  • LSU — No. 5 seed (East)
  • Ole Miss — No. 7 seed (South)
  • Mississippi State — No. 7 seed (West)
  • Florida — No. 12 seed (Midwest)
  • Alabama — First four out

With conference play in full swing, these teams will have plenty of time to help (or hurt) their resumes. We’ll see what happens over the coming weeks.
