The Ohio State University Board of Trustees and President Michael Drake are still meeting about the final decision on Urban Meyer. The meeting has now gone on for ten hours, and no decision has been made.

A working group conducted a two-week investigation into whether Meyer knew about the alleged 2015 domestic violence incident involving his former assistant Zach Smith. Smith was fired shortly before Big Ten Media Days.

On the outset of Wednesday, it was unknown whether a final decision would be made in the afternoon or whether it would spill over into Thursday. If you took the over, things may be looking good.

Jeff Snook, an Ohio State journalism graduate and author of multiple Buckeyes books, offered the latest update at 6:00 PM ET on his Facebook page:

It appears the university president and the board are in a deadlock of how to handle Meyer’s punishment. On one hand the president works for the Board of Trustees, and it creates an interesting scenario.

247Sports reporter Dave Biddle also stated that Meyer will not accept a suspension because he believes he did no wrong.
