College football is (finally!) just around the corner, as teams will report to fall camp in August and the season starts in September.

Therefore, plenty of national outlets are releasing their early preseason power rankings, and on Tuesday, it was USA TODAY that ranked the 14 SEC squads.

As you can see below, Alabama and Georgia still hold down the top-two spots coming off a season in which they met in the National Championship Game:

  • No. 1 — Alabama
  • No. 2 — Georgia
  • No. 3 — Auburn
  • No. 4 — Mississippi State
  • No. 5 — South Carolina
  • No. 6 — Texas A&M
  • No. 7 — LSU
  • No. 8 — Florida
  • No. 9 — Missouri
  • No. 10 — Tennessee
  • No. 11 — Kentucky
  • No. 12 — Ole Miss
  • No. 13 — Arkansas
  • No. 14 — Vanderbilt

We’ll see if those rankings hold through the fall camps, but for now, it’s a good look at where teams stand.
