WATCH: AAF QB somehow completes circus no-look pass during game
Just when you thought the football offseason was here, the Alliance of American Football started up.
On Sunday night, San Diego Fleet QB Philip Nelson (played at East Carolina) completed one of the craziest passes you’ll see to TE Gavin Escobar. Nelson was being chased by members of the Atlanta Legends defense when he pulled the circus no-look pass. Literally.
Somehow, Escobar caught it and stayed in bounds.
….how?
This may be the craziest completion ever. pic.twitter.com/6Ilyd9Sysz

Of course, Twitter erupted:
Between the bouncing INT we got, Nelson's no-look backward pass, and that illegal formation penalty, I'm pretty sure we're a team of destiny. No we just need the score to reflect that.#YeetFleet #AAF #SDFleet #ATLvsSD

I justed watched an AAF QB throw the ball backwards over his shoulder while under pressure and complete the pass over 5 yards downfield. I'd like to see @PatrickMahomes do that

Patrick Mahomes made the no look pass famous, but this was certainly an interesting attempt at the no look pass from San Diego Fleet QB. #AAF pic.twitter.com/TTsaR59esS
