WATCH: Mark Sanchez tries to channel his inner Tony Romo in skit introducing him as new ESPN CFB analyst
ESPN announced that former USC and New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez would be the network’s new lead college football analyst this fall.
That led to quite a reaction from Twitter, and Sanchez — the former Trojan starter — expressed his excitement for the job on the social media site.
As you can see below, Sanchez and Josh Norman do a bit where Sanchez tries to channel his inner Tony Romo, who is now a CBS NFL broadcaster:
Excited about the new opportunity. Big thanks to ESPN for making it happen. Also, glad I graduated from the prestigious @J_No24 Broadcasting Bootcamp! Check out the @GOATFARMMEDIA YouTube channel to see the rest of my extensive training. https://t.co/7JuoIuKBKX pic.twitter.com/Gom1wj8vJy

Hopefully Sanchez is a little better as an analyst than he is as an actor, but this is all new to him, so we’ll cut him some slack.
The season starts up soon, so we won’t have to wait too long to see how he fares with ESPN and ABC.
