A fan who rushed the field during Saturday’s Oklahoma-Texas Tech game was met by the Red Raiders’ strength coach.

The incident happened late in the game, which Oklahoma won 51-46, and the game was briefly stopped as Rusty Whitt bear hugged the fan, and corralled him as Texas Rangers came on the field and ushered him away to be arrested, according to KFYO.

The fan was later identified as James Colton Brown of Lubbock and he reportedly bonded out of jail after 5:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

It’s never a good idea to rush the field as a fan, but this example was especially poor judgement as Whitt, an Army veteran, along with other security measures waited for Brown.
