College GameDay came back to the SEC this week when they set up their stage in Tuscaloosa, Ala., for the Ole Miss at Alabama matchup.

It shouldn’t be too surprising, then, to find that the SEC dominated airtime. Lots of prominent conference games had to be discussed outside the title game, including Florida at Kentucky, Auburn at LSU and South Carolina at Georgia. Predictably, Rece Davis also mentioned the fact that last week “the SEC took a kick in the gut.”

During Week 2’s show, the crew spent the most time discussing the state of Texas football. This week, the topic of Jim McElwain’s outburst at Florida running back Kelvin Taylor took Texas football’s place as the analysts spent over seven minutes debating whether Florida’s head coach was justified or went too far. GameDay loved the rant so much they went so far as to add a one second clip of McElwain screaming into their opening montage. Here’s hoping they keep that in for the entire season.

The ACC finally got more attention this week with multiple mentions of Georgia Tech as they go to take on Notre Dame. The Nebraska-Miami game also got some time as the analysts relived historic college football moments from the 1990s.

Missouri Valley and Big Sky also got some airtime today with discussion of the North Dakota-North Dakota State game. GameDay is obliged to mention North Dakota State very once in a while, as the school’s bison mascot is named after Lee Corso.

Here’s the breakdown of time spent on each conference during this week’s show:
