Using numbers as a guide, here are 20 facts to consider heading into Week 5 of the SEC schedule:

  1. After allowing more than 220 yards rushing per game to opposing teams through the first three games of the season, South Carolina allowed just 26 yards on 23 attempts last week against UCF. It was the second-best rush defense performance of the Steve Spurrier era (4 rushing yards allowed to Vanderbilt in 2011).
  2. Missouri has outscored opponents 47-17 in the second half of games this season, and holds a 181-97 advantage in the second half during the Tigers’ last 12 games.
  3. Alabama has lost just six of its 34 road games under the direction of Nick Saban.
  4. Georgia QB Greyson Lambert’s completion percentage (76.5) ranks second in the FBS, behind only North Carolina State’s Jacoby Brissett (77.9).
  5. Auburn K Daniel Carson has made three of the 25 longest field goals in the FBS this season, with his successful 56-yard kick against Louisville in Week 1 ranking second on the list.
  6. Ole Miss has scored 219 points through four games this season, which is more than the entire season total for the Rebels in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2011.
  7. Florida is 10-for-10 on fourth-down conversion attempts this season, including five successful conversions in last week’s 28-27 win against Tennessee.
  8. For just the fifth time in school history, Arkansas had a 150-yard receiver (Drew Morgan) and 150-yard rusher (Alex Collins) in the same game last week. Unfortunately, the Razorbacks lost that game 28-21 to Texas A&M in overtime.
  9. Tennessee sophomore RB Jalen Hurd has 100-plus yards rushing, as well as two or more touchdowns, in four of the last five games he has played.
  10. Leonard Fournette is the only player in LSU football history to rush for more than 200 yards in consecutive games. He’ll have a chance to make it three in a row against Eastern Michigan on Saturday.
  11. For the first time since 2004, Vanderbilt has avoided turning the ball over in back-to-back games.
  12. Kentucky‘s defense held Missouri to just 13 points last week, which was the lowest total for a Wildcats defense against a ranked opponent since playing Ole Miss in 1993.
  13. Mississippi State‘s offense has accumulated at least 420 yards of total offense in 16 of its last 18 games.
  14. In the Aggies’ last three games, Texas A&M quarterbacks have completed 10 touchdown passes and thrown just one interception.
  15. Missouri LB Kentrell Brothers leads the nation with 52 tackles through four games. That’s 13 tackles per game, you guys.
  16. The last four meetings between Florida and Ole Miss have been settled by less than 10 points. The Gators and Rebels last met in 2008, which was a 31-30 upset win for Ole Miss.
  17. Tennessee leads the SEC with a plus-five turnover margin, and ranks fifth in the nation with just two turnovers lost through four games.
  18. Auburn rushed the ball 50 times for 358 yards in last season’s meeting with San Jose State.
  19. Since the beginning of 2008, Alabama is 18-6 against teams ranked inside the AP Top 10.
  20. LSU has run 184 offensive plays this season without turning the ball over.
