An average of 80,179 fans attended SEC games in Week 7 including 100,000-plus in College Station and Baton Rouge for nationally-ranked showdowns involving unbeaten teams.

At the midseason point, LSU is the league’s last remaining unbeaten after 102,321 strong saw the Tigers hold off Florida with a late fake field goal for a touchdown. The majority of Texas A&M’s season-high 105,733 screaming fans went home disappointed after the Crimson Tide scored three touchdowns on defense to quiet one of the loudest crowds in the country.

Alabama true freshman wide receiver Calvin Ridley agreed:

The Liberty Bowl was at 99 percent capacity for Ole Miss-Memphis, which turned out to be up-and-coming coach Justin Fuente’s biggest win with the Tigers thus far. Georgia sold out its rare evening home game against Mizzou at Sanford Stadium, but the crowd of 92,746 struggled to find much to cheer about offensively during a 9-6 win.
