Despite monumental upsets Saturday against Top 10 opponents and a No. 3 ranking in the Associated Press Top 25, both Mississippi State and Ole Miss opened as underdogs in Vegas on Sunday.

CG Technology set No. 2 Auburn (5-0, 2-0) as a three-point favorite at Mississippi State (5-0, 2-0), the third consecutive Top 10 opponent for the Bulldogs. GameDay will be in Starkville, Miss., and we all saw how that turned out for Alabama on the road in Oxford, Miss., on Saturday.

Speaking of the Rebels, the team opened as a one-point road underdog against No. 14 Texas A&M, which hosts just its third game of the year at Kyle Field on a brand new grass playing surface. The Aggies nearly lost to Arkansas before getting beat up pretty good by Mississippi State last weekend, but are favored against a team that has yet to lose against the spread.

The early line in Vegas suggests several competitive games, including a noon ET kickoff in Columbia, Mo., that may ultimately determine the SEC East.

LSU also is a one-point favorite despite falling by 34 points Saturday and having to travel to The Swamp to face a Gators team fighting for the job of its head coach.

Chattanooga at Tennessee and Charleston Southern at Vanderbilt both feature FCS opponents (OK, insert Vandy joke here), games that typically aren’t posted in Vegas until later in the week.

It will be hard to match this weekend, but we should see some more terrific football Saturday.

Here are the rest of the Week 7 lines. South Carolina is off.

Ole Miss, a five-point home underdog, used a brilliant fourth quarter to overtake Alabama. The Rebels are the only SEC team unbeaten against the spread, improving to 4-0-1.

Kentucky (4-1 ATS) and Mississippi State (4-1 ATS) rewarded gamblers again as well.

Vanderbilt got a second consecutive win against the spread and now is 3-0 ATS in SEC play. Georgia’s explosive running game and mediocre defense allowed the game to go over the posted total. Overs are 5-0 in Bulldogs games this season.
