The first weekend of visits since the end of the dead period are finished. Here are the five stories that we are following:

Did Raekwon Davis flip?

Early Sunday morning there were reports that four-star defensive tackle Raekwon Davis flipped from Alabama to Mississippi State while on his official visit to Starkville. The 6-foot-7, 315-pound prospect from Meridian, Miss., was quoted several times talking about his decision.

By noon it appeared that Davis had backtracked and told several other outlets that he was still committed to Alabama. By evening time it seemed like he was back to Mississippi State.

Early guess is someone let the cat out of the bag sooner than it was supposed to happen. Either Davis was going to flip on signing day or wait until his official to Alabama on Jan. 29 (with a scheduled visit to Florida State on Jan. 22) to make the announcement.

If Davis flips and sticks to Mississippi State, this is the beginning of what could be a nice run for the Bulldogs in the final two and a half weeks before signing day.

Vanderbilt adds 2 WRs to class

The Commodores’ 2016 recruiting class added two members when wide receivers Kalija Lipscomb and Jackson Winrow committed to the program. Lipscomb is a 6-foot, 185-pound prospect from New Orleans and Winrow is 6-2, 185 pounds out of Shawnee, Okla.

Wilson takes in UGA experience

Five-star prospect Lyndell “Mack” Wilson told 247Sports that he had the best relationship with Georgia coach Kirby Smart and Georgia “has set the bar very high.” Wilson still has visits to Alabama (Jan. 22) and Florida (Jan. 29) scheduled and says he’ll update his recruitment after those visits. The Montgomery, Ala., prospect had Florida in the lead going into the weekend.

Auburn back on top for Craig-Myers?

Four-star wide receiver Nate Craig-Myers was an Auburn commit once and after his official visit, the Tampa prospect could be back there again. Craig took the official visit with his mother and both have a good relationship with Auburn assistant Dameyune Craig. It doesn’t hurt that Craig-Myers’ brother, four-star defensive back Jayvaughn Myers, is also high on Auburn.

Lawrence takes in Death Valley

Five-star defensive tackle Rashard Lawrence made his official visit to LSU this weekend and got a tour of the stadium from head coach Les Miles himself.

Lawrence will made his decision between LSU and Ohio State on Friday. A commitment from Lawrence would put LSU in a position to secure the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation.
