When it comes to college football coaches these days, there’s Nick Saban and Dabo Swinney and then there’s everyone else.

Naturally, those two were the top two coaches in CBS Sports’ recent rankings of all 65 Power 5 coaches, which were released on Wednesday.

As you can see below, Saban checks in at No. 1, with three other SEC coaches landing in the top 10. Arkansas’s Chad Morris brings up the rear at No. 59:

  • No. 1 — Nick Saban, Alabama
  • No. 5 — Jimbo Fisher, Texas A&M
  • No. 6 — Kirby Smart, Georgia
  • No. 10 — Dan Mullen, Florida
  • No. 24 — Gus Malzahn, Auburn
  • No. 30 — Ed Orgeron, LSU
  • No. 35 — Will Muschamp, South Carolina
  • No. 39 — Mark Stoops, Kentucky
  • No. 48 — Joe Moorhead, Mississippi State
  • No. 49 — Barry Odom, Mizzou
  • No. 52 — Jeremy Pruitt, Tennessee
  • No. 53 — Derek Mason, Vanderbilt
  • No. 58 — Matt Luke, Ole Miss
  • No. 59 — Chad Morris, Arkansas

This will be an important year for a number of these coaches, from Gus Malzahn to Matt Luke to Derek Mason to Will Muschamp and others, so we’ll see how they fare this fall.

For now, though, Saban remains on top, and he could cement that spot if he manages to even things up against Clemson in the National Championship Game this year.
