After an interesting week in college football, there has been a shakeup in the rankings. Several SEC teams have shifted in the lineup after upsets and close calls.

Here’s a look at where each team within the conference stood in Chip Patterson of CBS Sports’ latest rankings. The most notable, of course, was Georgia jumping Alabama. This is warranted after the Crimson Tide escaped a near-loss, narrowly defeating the Texas Longhorns, 20-19 in Austin, Texas.

Outside of that, Patterson also has Mississippi State ranked after the Bulldogs went unranked in both the Coaches Poll and AP Top 25 College Football Poll.

  • Georgia (No. 1)
  • Alabama (No. 2)
  • Arkansas (No. 9)
  • Kentucky (No. 10)
  • Tennessee (No. 12)
  • Ole Miss (No. 19)
  • Florida (No. 20)
  • Mississippi State (No. 23)

Other SEC teams were listed outside of the top 25:

  • Texas A&M (No. 33)
  • Auburn (No. 45)
  • South Carolina (No. 53)
  • LSU (No. 54)
  • Missouri (No. 69)
  • Vanderbilt (No. 91)

How these rankings continue to shake out will be something to watch, especially with some of the concerns that Alabama has shown this early on in the season after hitting some rough patches and losing the national championship game last season.
