The winningest quarterback in South Carolina history had some good news to share on Saturday morning.

Connor Shaw, who had a 27-5 record as the Gamecocks’ starter, tweeted a photo of him appearing to sign a new contract with the Chicago Bears.

Shaw signed with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2014 and was the team’s starting quarterback for the final game of the season against the Baltimore Ravens, completing 14 of his 28 passes for 177 yards and an interception.

He was released from the Browns in June of 2016 and subsequently picked up by the Bears. Shaw missed the entire 2016 season after breaking his leg against Kansas City in a preseason game.
