ESPN announced Wednesday that it will air a 4-part all-access series on the Gamecocks after visiting Columbia, South Carolina. That’s set to debut at 7 p.m. Eastern time on ESPNU and is watchable on ESPNU.

This will be something to watch as head coach Shane Beamer heads into his second season with the Gamecocks after bringing the team to new heights and helping make them a legitimate contender for the first time in years last season.

With him under center now is Spencer Rattler, a quarterback who will have plenty of eyes on him after he began the 2021 season as the projected No. 1 overall pick and was ultimately benched in favor of Caleb Williams, who is set to open the year as the starter at USC.

South Carolina finished out last season with 7 wins for the first time since 2018 and will look to build upon that this year. The Gamecocks will open up the 2022 schedule with a matchup against Georgia State on Sept. 3 at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time in Columbia.
